Wet-N-Wild Pro Brush Set

Hello Beauty Addicts

Welcome back to Beauty By Shaq!

Today I wanted to talk you about the new Wet-N-Wild Pro Brush set for the holidays.

Let me tell you a bit about them first:

. It’s cruelty free

. Densely packed, ultra-soft bristles

. Synthetic bristles mimic the consistency of natural hair

. Ergonomic handle for total control

My favorite thing about them is the ergonomic dip, it makes it so easy to use the brushes. Their hair is soft but still firm, and that’s why I think they are a good buy.

You can find them at Walgreens, it usually retails for $30, but this week if you have their rewards card you get them 50% off.

I first saw the pro brush set when I went into Walgreen’s for an errand I had to run. The Wet-N-Wild makeup brushes were front and center. It was like they were calling my name, I had to go to them and check them out!

The Wet-N-Wild Pro Brush set which includes 10 brushes, was advertised for $30 with a value of $90. I thought this was a great deal, so much so that I told my son that if he wanted that was something he could buy me for Christmas.

As I went on with my day I didn’t think much of the brushes. Later I start surfing through Instagram, one of my favorite accounts @trenmood1 they were  talking about the brushes. I read the description and it says they are 50% off 😮! Online or in store, but online had already sold out!

I worried a little and wondered if I should go and get it .. it was late at night, instead I waited and went first thing in the morning.

I teach at a Beauty school and of course I shared the news with the Students and by 12pm it was sold out from the two Walgreens by my Job! Lol!! If you can find it, you should definitely go get them!

Needless to say the Wet-N-Wild Pro Brush Set is worth the money, are great quality and beautiful!

Broken Face Makeup

Welcome back! Today, I bring you my latest YouTube tutorial Broken Face Makeup.

As some of you may know, I teach makeup. I’ve been teaching for 8 years now and I love it! Teaching was a scary thought at first, but once I started it quickly became my passion.

The class has many different categories, but one of my favorites is face painting. When I create a new face paint, to me it’s like creating a new character.

Years ago I create a broken face makeup , I was remembering this the other day and I thought to my self: Self.. you need to recreate this asap. So I did.

This new Broken Face Makeup, I decided to look at various pictures for inspiration. When I started I looked at different makeup artist, my old one and pictures of broken dolls and windows.

Enjoy this tutorial, I enjoyed making it. I wasn’t planning on making it a tutorial, that is why is such low quality. Usually I film with my Canon T3I, but I was just doing this for fun so I recorded it with my Iphone7. When I was done, I liked the finished product and thus I had to share it!

Just for you Beauty Addicts, here is a list of the items used to create this look.

Items:

Fabb paint in black by Sillyfarm is what I used to create the lines and their white to create the highlight.

For eye shadows I used the Wong Cosmetics 35D palette I also used it to create shadows on the the cracks, and Ofra Cosmetics eye shadows for the teal .
Eyebrow gel and my  Invincible foundation are from Nyx Cosmetics.

The blue eyeliner and powder palette which I use for contouring as well, are from OP Makeup Studio.

For the blackest  eyeliner I always use Tarte Cosmetics tartiest eyeliner.
You have to add a little glitter eyeliner, I chose the LA Splash one.
To get color in my cheeks I used the Makeup Geek blush in bliss

Silisponge – The Last Sponge You’ll Ever Buy!

The Silisponge.

Hi guys and welcome back to Beauty By Shaq!

I wanted to talk to you about a new product that I’m selling on my site. This is my first product ever the Silisponge. When the buzz started with the silicon sponges, I was one of the people that was optimistic about it.

Ever since the invention of the beauty blender which is fabulous in his own way. I’ve always thought this was a great product but, it cannot be used with multiple clients. That wouldn’t be sanitary. It’s great for personal use, but not for an on set make up artist. You would have to buy a lot of them and let’s face it, that can get expensive.

When the Silisponge came out, I said: Now this is a product for a make up artist! Why? It’s a silicon product that is easily washable, it’s hygienic, and most people are not allergic to silicone, so it’s great for everyone. The perfect tool for the make up artist. You can use it on more than one person and be hygienic.

That’s was then I decided that I too wanted to sell the silisponge. The original Silisponge came out (at least to my  knowledge) by Molly cosmetics. That  was great, however I didn’t like the size. It wasn’t practical. For myself it was too small and it had no round edges, so I wanted to get a different design. And that’s when I research and research and found the size and shape that I have now and thus was born:

Shaq’s Silisponge.

It took me a couple of months of researching and trying out products, but i can say, that I love what I got. I love it so much I shared it with my friends, even none makeup artist ones and the feed back was great. Every single one loved it, and that made me so happy!

I want you to love it too, so head to the top of this blog and click on Shaq’s Sislisponge and get your own.

Your pockets will thank me, because you are going to use a lot  less product, and you can re use it on as many client as you want (after each cleaning).

I recorded a you tube tutorial and introduction for this and you can check it out here:

Well I hope you enjoyed this blog, if you did share it, others need to know too!! Thank you all so much for your support! and I’ll see you guys again next week!

Stay Beautiful, inside and out!

An SFX Story

If you don’t know by now, I’ll tell ya… I’m a makeup instructor. One of my favorite things to teach is Special Effects Makeup. The reason I love teaching this subject is because to me it is what I think makeup is, which to me is; the magic of transformation! Transformation can be seen in simple day to day makeup, but when you use Special FX you can completely change a person into someone else like magic.. And I love that!

This week I’ve been teaching SFX Makeup, and I wanted to share some of the fun products
I work with:
  • We use the very exotic tissue paper..what?!?! Yes we use this with latex and create creepy skin.
  • Sponges (non latex) these sponges are essential to use with liquid latex because the liquid latex won’t eat them.
  • Stipple sponge.. we use these to create scrapes and other cool effects.
  • Q tips, from cleaning edges to adding color, these bad boys are useful.
  • Liquid latex will be your best friend (if you aren’t allergic) you can build and rip and with this product to create realistic skin.
  • Liquid blood is the best finishing touch to make a wound, burn, cut and flesh eating zombie look realistic.
  •  Black creme color. I use this to give depth.
  • My favorite product to use is 3rd degree. This is a silicone 2 part product. When combined you have ten minutes to mold and shape into what you want it to be and it harden that way.
  • Another favorite not shown here,  is thick blood. It’s a gel like blood with many uses.

Tarte limited-edition wing workers deluxe tarteist eyeliner set

Hello Beauty addicts!
Welcome back to my Blog, Today I wanted to talk about the Tarte Cosmetics Wing Workers Eyeliner set. Let me begin by saying that the Tartiest is my favorite eyeliner, I been using it since it first came out.
What I Love About It:
  • Consistency
  • Vibrancy
  • Longevity
Makeup Artists are always looking for the best in eyeliners and to me this is it!
Ok, what you came for.. This set is super cute!! I love the colors they picked for the set.
Black     Blue    Gold    Burgundy

They are all useful for a makeup artist, and not too wild. My personal favorite is the burgundy…omg this color!!
The consistency and vibrancy is the same and even this small amount will last a while, so I believe for the price at $35 is worth it!
My only complain is that some of the colors came a little watery and the tubes seemed a little empty, but once you squeeze the tube you get the product. Other than that I love these…. and hey maybe my batch was the only that came that way!

Tell me:

Did you buy these?
Which color is your favorite?
Did you like this blog post?
I love to hear from you guys so please don’t be shy!
See you all in the next blog!
