Broken Face Makeup

Welcome back! Today, I bring you my latest YouTube tutorial Broken Face Makeup.

As some of you may know, I teach makeup. I’ve been teaching for 8 years now and I love it! Teaching was a scary thought at first, but once I started it quickly became my passion.

The class has many different categories, but one of my favorites is face painting. When I create a new face paint, to me it’s like creating a new character.

Years ago I create a broken face makeup , I was remembering this the other day and I thought to my self: Self.. you need to recreate this asap. So I did.

This new Broken Face Makeup, I decided to look at various pictures for inspiration. When I started I looked at different makeup artist, my old one and pictures of broken dolls and windows.

Enjoy this tutorial, I enjoyed making it. I wasn’t planning on making it a tutorial, that is why is such low quality. Usually I film with my Canon T3I, but I was just doing this for fun so I recorded it with my Iphone7. When I was done, I liked the finished product and thus I had to share it!

Just for you Beauty Addicts, here is a list of the items used to create this look.

Items:

Fabb paint in black by Sillyfarm is what I used to create the lines and their white to create the highlight.

For eye shadows I used the Wong Cosmetics 35D palette I also used it to create shadows on the the cracks, and Ofra Cosmetics eye shadows for the teal .
Eyebrow gel and my  Invincible foundation are from Nyx Cosmetics.

The blue eyeliner and powder palette which I use for contouring as well, are from OP Makeup Studio.

For the blackest  eyeliner I always use Tarte Cosmetics tartiest eyeliner.
You have to add a little glitter eyeliner, I chose the LA Splash one.
To get color in my cheeks I used the Makeup Geek blush in bliss

How to Get Bronze Smokey Eyes (Video!)

Bronze Smokey Eyes

Hi guys welcome back to Beauty By Shaq!

Today I’m bringing you this tutorial on how to get this beautiful Bronze Smokey Eyes. I love playing with color, but I also love doing soft looks for everyday wear.Learn how to get bronze smokey eye tutorial

I love a lot of cosmetic companies but I also have my favorites one of them being the new Wong Cosmetics. Wong Cosmetics is a family owned business with a great story behind it! All the proceeds go to fund their daughters dream of becoming a star (and we all know that doesn’t come cheap!). They are hands on, in the whole experience. They choose and order the products, they placed them online and they ship them themselves and give you a note with every package so you can feel special. I love that.

To get this Bronze Smokey Eyes,  for the eye shadow I used the Wong cosmetics 35K pallet. One of my favorites! All the Neutral shades and shimmer shades work great together.

For my eyebrows I used the NYX eyebrow gel in the color chocolate. I like to use strokes in the front and then define the back of the eyebrow to get the effect of a lighter brow in the front and a darker brow towards the back for a more natural look.

For the face I decided to showcase my new product. Shaq’s Silisponge (the clear one, we also have a pink pointy one) it’s great to use with foundation and concealer’s it helps to apply them flawlessly. The skin will be looking fresh, well covered and beautiful.

To complement this Bronze Smokey Eyes look,  I used LA Girls concealer and Estée Lauder double wear foundation, and to set it all I used my Airspun translucent powder.

I’m stuck on an eyeliner and I must tell you all about it. I am been using the Tarte Cosmetics tartiest clay eyeliner. it goes on smooth, it last a long time, is super dark, and I love it.

Also one of my faves.. OP Makeup Studio’s ninja eyeliner.

To make everything sparkle and the Bronze Smokey Eyes pop, I decided to use my new Wong Cosmetics highlight palette. To contour I used the OP Makeup Studios powder palette. This is must have in any makeup kit. For blush and to give shape to the face I used the Makeup Geek blush in Bliss.

For the lips I used a combo. I used lip liner and lip gloss from OP Makeup Studio. For the color I used OFRA Cosmetics and Kathleen Lights Miami Fever.

Last but definitely not least the beautiful lashes in runways from Wong Cosmetics.
There you have it beauty addicts! Those are all the products and all the techniques that I use to create this Bronze Smokey Eyes look. For a step-by-step on how to do it you can go and watch my video linked below:

Zombie Makeup

Everyone love zombie makeup now…. right?? I do!
There’s so many different way to make a zombie, and this is one more.. but I’ll give you insight in products and how to use them. At the end, I’d love to get your feedback!
To begin, I like to prep my model with contact lens, they always give any zombie look the perfect touch!

Next is all the “scars, bite marks, deteriorating” To create the angry eyebrows I used a foam latex prosthetic that I bought at The Silly Farm . I used Prosaid which is used to glue prosthetic to skin, then I went on to create the scars and deteriorating skin with 3rd degree… a 2 part silicone product that you mold and have ten minutes to play with.  On the neck, that’s where she was bitten to become a “zombie” I used oatmeal and latex, I mixed them together to create this look! On the legs I applied latex waited for it to dry and started making holes.

Then I took the most pale color from dinair and airbrushed her whole body…. to give it that dead look you know! LOL!

Next I took my Mehron Bruise wheel and added dead bruised coloring around every wound and cut! I also used black cream to give the illusion of depth.

Next I used my new favorite Mehron tooth fx and used the red and black to give a decaying FX to the teeth!

Isn’t she lovely?!?!?!?!

I like doing my blood splatter outside… and with good reasons.. “my boss hate when the whole school looks like a massacre happened lol” I use Mehron Stage Blood to drip in the areas that i wanted, then watered it down and used it for splatter everywhere else!

and Viola!

Body painting … Naked art!

Makeup is art!
 I love teaching makeup!
One of my favorite subjects is body painting. Body painting day in my class is so much fun, after we spend the whole week practicing, by Friday we already have our final ideas planned and our fabulous and brave models picked out and a great selection of food items and drinks so we can stay hydrated and fed while we paint body paint.. it normally takes us 4 to 5 hours to finish one body, but is so much fun that we don’t even notice the time pass.
there are many different ways of body painting, there’s airbrushing and water activated paints and alcohol activated paints, and liquid body paints and, so on and, so forth. In my class we use the water activated Mehron body paint and liquid Mehron body paint and we also mix that paint with a mixing medium so that we may use it with our air brush machines.
I got to do a body paint that I’ve been wanting to do for a really long time… but I also have to teach my class and help my students whenever they need help, so I didn’t have as much time as I want it so I didn’t get to finish all the detail that I want it to but all in all I really love how it came out. I’ve seen this picture of a pin up zombie cartoon.. I can’t tell you where because I can’t find it again, so this is my interpretation of that cartoon. my pin up zombie cartoon girl!

here’s the work that my two students got to do…

I love it! they are so creative! I love seeing all the things they come up with. every group of students that I’ve had always show me new interesting, fun things, and as I teach them they teach me too.
what else can I say but my job is so rewarding!
Here is the work that I did in the class before, I had only an hour so I just did a corset on a model.
and here’s the work my students did
every single area I teach on, it’s always fun and exciting and there’s always so many different interpretations so there’s never a dull moment!
so do you body paint? What’s your favorite type of paint to use?
If my students are reading… what was your favorite type of paint to use and please post your pictures on the comments, and also if you had more time which body paint would you have like to do?
Thank you again Beauty Addicts for reading and always commenting and staying in touch.
